Dear Diary- what I think about bullying

Bullying is a really bad thing to do. When I see someone getting bullied I try to do something. I really have never bullied in my life. I don't see why people do it. Do they do it for fun? Do they do it for pleasure? I don't know, but people shouldn't bully. It is a horrible thing to do. When I get bullied occasionally, I never let the bully get away with it. I go and tell a teacher. I hate it when I get bullied so I would never do it to anyone else.

Maui and the sun

We heard a lot of versions of Maui and the Sun, but I'm going to tell you the first one that we read. Once upon a time there was a boy named Maui. He had a lot of brothers and he was the youngest. When him and his brothers went out to fish, the sun always went across the sky too fast. They decided they would go to the edge of the world to catch the sun and try to slow him down. They travelled many days and many nights. When they got there, they built two sheds to hide in. When the sun came up Maui beat it hard and the sun said, "What did I do?"Maui told the sun to slow down and the son agreed.
